St. Philip’s Hosts Conference on Solitary Confinement
On Saturday, April 30, 2016, the Buffalo/WNY Chapter of the New York Campaign for Alternatives to Isolated Confinement (NYCAIC), held a conference on solitary confinement in the prisons and jails of New York at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church.
Steve Hart of St. John’s-Grace heads up the group of advocates in support of the reduction and ultimate elimination of solitary confinement in New York State.
The conference was attended by several local clergy as well as Bishop Franklin.
